3st and Graphic Arts Studio are proud to announce GOGO 7600, a series of unique impressions announcing the Chicago printer’s new HP Indigo 7600 — a digital press that raises the bar of digital printing into the realm of the artful.
To celebrate the possibilities of variable imagery that this new press offers, 3st created 468 collages, 1 per card, for the recent TYPEFORCE 3 show sponsored by AIGA Chicago. Over a dozen different alphabets from the sketchbooks of Rick Valicenti, Bud Rodecker, and John Pobojewski were collaged together to create the compositions.
Pobojewski and Cameron Brand/3st developed custom InDesign scripts to automagically create the collages, update the caption typography, and determine unique color scheme taken from a hexachrome color palette.
Just 130 of the total 468 cards created.
Features of the HP Indigo 7600 include:
Quality rivaling offset printing
Substrates up to 18pt
6-colors available, including Hexachrome or Pantone
Opaque white ink
Inline raised clear gloss varnishes
Registered embossing
Variable imagery available for all inks and finishes

The back of the cards feature a unique identity for the GOGO 7600 designed by Valicenti.

Three different visual themes were developed in the spirit of printing:
